Born Derek R. Audette on June 16th, 1971 in Hull,
Quebec, Canada.
Derek
R. Audette has been called one of Canada’s
most promising and potentially important young
artists. CultureCentric has recently included
him in their list of "Prominent Gen-Xer Celebrities"
- naming him as a "prominent leader"
in the field of art. His musical compositions
have appeared in hundreds of films and television,
radio and Internet broadcasts and he has performed
in front of audiences across the continent. His
paintings have been shown all over the globe and
his conceptual art pieces have gained him widespread
notoriety.
While Audette is primarily known for his unique
and imaginative styles of poetry, music and abstract
painting, he has also experimented extensively
with video, digital art, photography and various
forms of conceptual art. It has been said that
as an artist "Audette possesses one of the
broadest and most diverse ranges of talent among
Canadian artists today."
He
smokes, he drinks, he's been known to indulge
in the occasional consumption of certain psychoactive
substances, he collapses wave functions, he's
part Mi'kmaq, and he bangs on those damn drums
'till all hours of the morning, playing his crazy
"ya-ya" music. To some he is known simply
as "Birdy", to others "Hippie"
and to others still as "That crazy long-hair
with the strange sleeping habits, who only comes
out at night and lives in that house where there's
never any lights on." (Click

Random
fact that you probably didn't know:
Private banks create money out of nothing! When you take out a loan at a bank, the amount that you borrow is simply typed into your bankbook. Seconds earlier it didn't exist! But, YOU now owe that money TO the bank, + interest! Most people mistakenly believe that any loan you take is somehow backed with real cash. This isn't so. Banks are required to back only a very tiny percentage of the amount of money they create out of thin air with real cash. Banks can simply create money out of nothing, but YOU can't. You have to get your money from private banks or other lending institutions.

Gilligan's
Wake : A Novel In Gilligan's Wake, Esquire columnist
Tom Carson takes a shaky premise---20th-century American

jigsaw puzzle of a book. Each castaway has been given
a bizarre, interconnected history, which they recount
in the book's seven chapters.
