I
occasionally produce short art films and I tend to approach
film-making in much the same way as I approach painting. For
the most part, my works in film as well as painting contain
very deep, underlying meaning. However, it is my intention
to obscure or blur that meaning to some degree.
My
hope is that the viewer will draw his or her own meaning from
my work. I have succeeded in my attempt if every viewer receives
a fundamentally different message, even though there was a
single and very definite message woven into the film or painting
itself. After all, no work of art in any medium actually contains
any message or meaning; the meaning resides solely in the
minds of those involved with the work - either the viewer
or creator. We are all individuals, and our perceptions and
interpretations of everything that we are subjected to are
unique to each of us. My work, more often than not seeks to
illustrate this point, often through exaggeration.
Below
is a selection of some of my films. As I do not have the available
bandwidth to publish my entire library here, I will rotate
the films on this page from time time.
I
apologize for the low video, audio quality and small frame
size of the streaming video available on this web page; it
is all that my current hosting situation will allow. In the
very near future I will be offering very high-quality, full
NTSC versions of my selected films on VCD, along with my entire
film collection on DVD for purchase, directly from this web
site... all at extremely low prices. :)
Please
enjoy my films, and take from them what you will:
| SOMETHING,
INSTEAD OF NOTHING |

A
semi-surrealistic art film shot in the winter of 2003
- 2004. This film contains deep, philosophical meaning
for the film maker. However, the exact nature of that
meaning, while accurately portrayed, is purposefully
obscured. Hopefully, this film acts as a commentary
on the power of perception. My wish is that each viewer
will draw their own meaning from this film. - Running

Decay |
 |
A
disturbing, yet often humorous film collage, assembled
from public domain stock footage made available through
the Prelinger archives. "Moral Decay" is an
attempt to expose the real demons which tormented the
producers of the original film, and their ilk.

Contains adult themes, and partial nudity. May offend
some viewers. - Running Time: 0:6:00 |

- 17 People Saying 29 Things |

Another
film collage assembled from Prelinger footage. The message
is deeply obscured, yet very present. Look to the gestalt!
Have fun decoding the meaning, or better yet, simply
find your own meaning.

| Two
Girls Talk |
 |
A
strange and very short film featuring two girls simply
talking. Are there sexist overtones in this film? Is
this a glimpse into the minds of two average and very
typical females? Probably not...

| Peggy
- 7 Minutes With Someone Who's Probably
Not Your Grandmother |
 |
Meet
Peggy. She's probably not your grandmother. This film
is a visual recording of seven minutes, or so, of a
life - the life of someone who's experienced a good
deal of it. So, what pearls of wisdom will she impart
to us? Watch the film to find out.

What
a truly strange animal man is. What bizarre
behavior he is capable of, and carries out. What is
the reason for this? If you're perceptive enough,
this film may offer at least one possible answer.
Another film collage.
